Courage is used every day in the smallest things possible like making your bed to huge things like performing a play to a huge audience, but however small or big courage is shown it should be respected.

These are three examples of courage:

Performing

There are many types of things that can be performed like dances, plays, speeches, and many more things as well. I have performed a dance to thousands of people with my school and I had a mixture of feelings when I was backstage to when I was actually doing the performance. Backstage I felt so scared with a million thoughts going through my head and I thought that I had forgotten the choreography. However, when I was heading out onto the stage I had to release all of the thoughts in my head of negativity and replace them with positivity, self-belief, and courage that helped me to overcome my fear and not to give up. This incident also helped me perform the thing in the future as when I remember what happen to myself before I went on stage and after I think to myself that a positive mind is a small thing that can make a massive difference in the outcome.

To be who I am

This is something most people don't think of as an act of courage, but it is so important. Having the courage to wear something that you want to even though other people think it is the worst thing ever if you want to you can but it takes courage to do it, and when you do you will feel so relaxed and happy. In a world that pressures on conformity, it takes a lot of courage to speak for yourself. You shouldn’t have to pretend to be someone who you are not and be allowed to talk about your situation out with confidence, this is also an act of courage that not many people can achieve as they are pressured for others.

Challenging yourself

This can also be thought of in a wide range as well. I have challenged myself when it comes to fitness. You have to be courageous to challenge yourself every day and become a better person for yourself. Debating with yourself if you are going to take the easier route but not have such a good outcome or are you going to push yourself and take a difficult route and have a better outcome.

Courage is one of the many things that can lead you to achieve what you want. Using past experiences, failures, and achievements to think of challenging yourself to be a better person for yourself
