Commitment is something you use to stick to what you do. You could commit to many things like running, athletics, or science. Committing is a big thing in life as it means you can get things done, you set your mind to a task and when you have accomplished it, it will feel so great. I commit to lots of things every day like sports, making my bed, doing my homework and many more things. Many people will do things for about a few days and let go of it, so here are some tips on how to commit to something.

Convince yourself

One of the hardest things about computing is to convince yourself first before anything because as I said before if you don't convince yourself first you will just drop it after a few days. The best thing to do is to make a mind map with all the benefits of what you are going to do for example if you wanted to get fitter you might put something like: good memory, relaxation, feel happier, stronger muscles and bone, ext…

Use your time efficiently

Plan a specific time or times of the day where you do your task, plan this in the morning so you know what to do throughout the day and if it helps by your bedside put a notebook so right when you wake up you can write down your to do’s. I suggest that you do what you are doing at the set time or around it every day so you can go into a routine. I try to start my homework at around 4:30 to 5:00 so I can get settled after school.

Stay inspired

Whenever I feel unhappy or ready to give up something I look at some quotes that I have in my room and even pictures are helpful as I realize why I started to do it and why I wanted to finish it. You could look up some quotes on the internet or you can print out some quotes and pictures and put them into frames.

Start small

At the beginning take it in small steps. Let's take keeping healthy for an example, look at what you are eating and do some exercises for how much you want to and slowly but surely increase the exercises after you start to feel comfortable. Another example could be doing your homework. If you have a pile of things, arrange them into the first task to give in to the last task to give in. Then do in small chunks so you won't have an overload of work.
